FIRST STEPS!!!!!

Yesterday Hannah took her first steps! It was so sweet and I am so proud of her! Before long I know she will be into everything. The day before yesterday, we went for a picnic and Hannah played with the ducks a bit. I have included some pics of her playing with the duckies as well as some footage of her taking those first steps. This weekend we are going to host a caramel apple party to celebrate the beginning of fall, endless cravings for pumpkin spice lattes, cooler weather...FINALLY!!!

Happy 10 Months my little pumpkin!

Today Hannah is 10 months old!!!! I can't keep waiting for her months to come to post on her blog because so much happens in between. Lots to report...Hannah is now standing for about 3-5 seconds at a time...I am just waiting for her to take off running. She is into everything including all of the cabinets. The other night she vomitted up book. Yes, that's right. She has great taste in literature. Must have upset her stomach. She is very chatty now saying ma ma, da da, na na, what sounds to be like her version of uh-oh. She mimics more things like clapping, dancing, and peek-a-boo. She is very smart. We finally became a "mini-van" family. We bought a new Toyota Sienna and it is absolutely awesome. It is big enough for all of our stuff. This month we took a trip to Turner Falls for a picnic, the Fort Worth Zoo, a birthday party at a park downtown, and a couple of lunch picnic dates. Hannah is going to get entered into a modeling search this month...just for fun. She gets a professional pic out of it, so I figured that was worth it. Here are some pics from today at the pumpkin patch and some others along with a video of her standing.

Happy 9 Months!!!!

Can't believe Hannah is already 9 months old today! (Actually she is 9 months 4 days by the time I finally posted it.) Time has flown by. She is growing so fast and I can't slow it down...soon enough she will be playing piano, dancing ballet, or maybe even skating a halfpipe for all I know. :) This is what I am praying for...wisdom from the Lord to discover what her purpose is and to help her develop those talents in her life and to have fun in the process. This week it started raining and I thought if Hannah was bigger that I would have to figure out what to do inside to keep her occupied, but I stopped myself in that moment and thought...wait, we would be out in our rain jackets playing in the puddles and making mud pies. Life should never be too serious to overlook fun! In the meantime, I must keep her away from light sockets, lamp chords, and paper...oh paper, why must you be so appetizing??? But little puff picnics on the floor (even if they are from yesterday), chewing shoes for building up immune systems, and apple sauce art will be our highlights for the moment. Hannah is on the verge of walking...she is cruising quite gracefully now, and I have caught her standing up next to objects while touching them as opposed to leaning on them. I am definitely not rushing this one as we have yet to put the cabinet locks on. Hannah attended her first birthday party and a pony one at that! She got to sit on one for a couple of photos, but is too small to ride one on her own...as if that wasn't obvious. :) She and I and her daddy also went to Glen Rose on Labor Day to a drive thru safari. The zebras and some kind of deer like animal were her favs. Giraffes usually are, but they were being stuck "up" most of the time, so she didn't have much interaction with them. She had a big people meal today of chicken and cheese with a little bread and apples. She even tried my hummus and didn't even flinch. She attended her first birthday party and it was a pony party! She got to take a picture on one of the ponyies...of course I posted that one! Oh, horror story tonight....I was pouring some of my face wash into my hands while Hannah was standing near the tub right underneath me and a drop fell directly into her eye! She howled for 20 minutes while I flushed her eye out and then I bonked her heat on the cabinet scrambling to get a wash cloth out. I felt HORRIBLE! She eventually stopped crying and cheered up when I put GaGa on the phone. Thank God for Grandparents! Oh, by the way, Mom and Dad Sibley and Mom and Dad Parsons....Happy late Grandparents day (we missed it on Sunday) We and Hannah are SO blessed to have parents/grandparents like you and we thank God for you!!!

This weekend John watched Hannah all day and both nights and Hannah fussed for him almost the whole time! Poor baby and poor John. He had to bring her up to my conference for me to feed her since she wouldn't eat from the bottle. I guess if I plan to have any time to myself, I better get her used to the bottle again! She also said what sounded like the beginnings of "Dada" today. So sweet. Ok...here are some of her 9 month pictures. Enjoy!!!

New things!!!

Hannah just learned to clap her hands!!! We were out shopping and she just started clapping her hands. That same day, she also gave mommy a kiss. The real exciting part just happened...she said "Ma Ma". She always says "ba ba" especially when you ask her to say mama...I teared up of course. I am not even sure that she was referring to me, but it was too sweet. She is getting to be very mobile. I have caught her letting go of the furniture and standing on her own for just a moment. One of the really cute thing that she has started doing is while I am taking a shower in the morning, she stands at the tub and giggles while she gets sprinkled with water. Before long, I think she will attempt to get in! Here is a video of her clapping. I will try to get in the "Ma-mas".

Happy 8 Months!

How she has grown... I think I have heard 2 "mama"s out of her, but not sure if they are really referring to me yet. We did a little Glamour Shots promotion to enter her into a contest which friends and family will have to vote on...we picked a picture that had Hannah as a little angel with wings...too cute! My prediction is that she will be standing on her own, possibly walking, and saying mama and dada by the end of the month. She is so smart and observant. We had our little 8 month photo shoot today so here are some pics that we took. I am so blessed to have Hannah as my daughter. I know that the Lord has a beautiful plan for her life, and I am so thankful to be a part of that plan. Children really are our inheritance from the Lord! -Psalm 127:3.

Love this one...like she is worshipping the Lord.

Well...Hannah is growing I am missing her tininess already. She is now sleeping in her crib and I think last night was the longest she ever went without waking up. (12:30am- 10:00am!) She is eating more and has started on the little finger puffs. It is so cute to watch her pick them up and stuff them in her mouth. John and I took Hannah down to Houston for our third year anniversary and she stayed with my sister for the first time overnight. In fact, it was the first time we both were away from her for any amount of time. She did ok during the day, but cried pretty much all night long. It was rough for my sister, but we had a great time! I also had a conference to attend a week later and Hannah stayed with our friend Debbie from church for two days and one night in the nursery. She did great! Hannah loves making new friends and there are always people in and out of Debbie's house, so she had fun! She is still crawling, but pulling herself up very easily and is walking around furniture. She is also using her little walking toy and getting much better at assisted walking. We went to my parents last week before John started his new job and got to take Hannah to the beach. She enjoyed playing in the shallow water and riding in her Cars float. Here are a couple of pictures.

7 Months old and 14 lbs 5 oz.

She's growing...Today Hannah is 7 months old and we went today for her 6 month check up. (a little late due to roseola) She is up to 14 lbs 5 oz which puts her in the 15th percentile. (Someone's gotta be there) and her pediatrician said that since she is so active, she won't gain a whole lot of weight, but as long as she is growing steadily that is all that matters. She is up to 25 1/2 inches long. This weekend we are going to visit Auntie Dani and her cousins. John and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary and my sister is going to watch Hannah overnight for us. This will be our first time away from her period, let alone a whole evening, but my sister is really great with kids and I am sure she will be just fine.
Today we took her 7 month pictures. Here are just a few...enjoy! (more on facebook to be seen from this collection)
