Hannah's first baseball game

Today we went to see the Rangers play the Astros at the Arlington Ballpark. We got the tickets for John for father's day and we had a blast! Hannah enjoyed it, except when Josh Hamilton made a home run and set off the fireworks. She cried a bit with all of the excitement. We got the tickets courtesy of my awesome friend and boss who was away in Hawaii this week. The seats were on the 15th row up behind home plate and were fabulous seats. We were seated around some baseball scouts and everyone of them made comments about how cute Hannah was. I am sure they were missing their own little ones at home with all that traveling. Hannah sported her little Rangers bib which when wet by all of her slobber, bled through to her onesie. I am sure it will come out with a little bleach. We did leave a little earlier when the score was 10-1 so we knew we wouldn't miss anything except a future meltdown. What a blast it was! Can't wait to go again!

Lots of Excitement!

Well, here it is 12:52 in the morning, and Hannah is still awake. We have had a rather difficult week in that Hannah is teething right now AND we are trying to get her transitioned into her crib. Up until this point, she has been sleeping in a little sleeper next to our bed. This has been rather difficult at this point in time, in that Hannah is now standing with the help of furniture, so she grabs for one rail of the crib and when sleepy, misses the other one and bumps her nogin on the crib. The bumpers only aid her new curiosity to climb, but nonetheless, we are trying our hand at this new sleeping situation and trying my patience a bit as well. :) As I am writing this, she is in her crib pouting behind closed doors, and I am thinking about how early I have to be to church in the morning. I will be glad when she gets accustomed to this new sleeping arrangement! On a lighter note, Hannah has been eating grown up food...well, mushy grown up food. She started with green beans. This week are peas. I did give her a taste of a thawing banana. I froze one to help her with her teething, but by the time she gnawed on it, it too was mushy. She did seem to like it though. She swims in her baby pool just about every other day and today got to swim in a big pool again, which I was hoping would knock her out tonight, but we all know that didn't happen. Hopefully she will soon move from the state of delirium to wonderland...for us both. Well, here are a couple of videos of some of the new things that Hannah is doing, along with some cute pics!

Every time she sees the orange light for the camera she gives a big smile!

She loves her duckies!

6 months, Colorado, First teeth, Sick again, and Crawling...

Well, we just got home from an eventful road trip with Gaga and Papa (the real lady gaga)...Hannah and I left for Denver with my parents to visit my aunts last Tuesday and John flew in over the weekend. Hannah started off the trip with an exciting first visit to the big pool at our humble hotel. The first day of driving was much better than the second as she cried all the way through New Mexico. We think that it was her "toofers" as my Aunt Joey called them. While we were gone, Hannah's bottom front teeth came in. She loved meeting her Auntie Grandma Linda "Bobblehead" and her Auntie Joey "Raspberry". She loved hanging out with her new aunties and uncle. We played in Auntie Linda's pool the first day in Colorado, as the temperature was in the 90s, however, the pool became a thing of the past as the 50 degree weather moved in for the weekend. (it was really nice, but quite rainy) On Thursday Hannah showed off her crawling skills and put on a show for us all. Friday, we picked up daddy at the airport and went to Estes Park and did some shopping...all of it was for Hannah of course. Then Saturday we took the cog railway up to Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs where it was snowing at the top. The view wasn't so good since the clouds were hovering over the tops of the mountain, but we still had fun hanging out with the family. Sunday we hung out with the family and cooked out in the rain and took daddy back to the airport to sit for 4 hours as his plane was delayed. The remaining part of the trip we noticed Hannah's irritability rising along with her temperature. We left Colorado on Wednesday and arrived in Amarillo to stay for the evening, however, Hannah woke up with a nasty fever at 2am, so after calling the doctor, we decided to leave early so that we could make it to the doctor to find out what was wrong. We were all really concerned because she had just had a UTI and the doctor had told me that if she had a reoccurrence it could mean something very serious. We got to the doctor later that morning and thankfully a rash had appeared on her back and the doctor was relieved to find it. She just had a common childhood rash that brought fever and would get over it on her own. Thank the Lord!!! Here are a couple of pics of the exciting trip along with a couple videos.

Strong toes!!!!!

This evening we were hanging out in the living room and I propped Hannah up against the ottoman and she gripped on and stood there without assistance! We had to catch her a couple of times, but she stood for an overall two minutes!!! Hopefully we can put her in gymnastics or ballet when she is a bit older. Also including some other fun pics, of course with the color accents! Also, stay tuned for a new little business venture we are going on...details to follow. All mommies will be interested. :) (I tried uploading video but I guess it was too long...guess I will have to try and make a shorter one and post later.)

Zoo Day

Yesterday, John surprised us at 9am and said he was coming home early from work. We decided since a new exhibit just opened up at the Dallas Zoo, we would take the Dart rail and make a day of it. We first ate lunch at a new cafe that overlooks the lions habitat. We ate our lunch as they stared in wondering when they could eat us for lunch. The next stop were the giraffe which Hannah went NUTS over them. She was kicking her feet while talking to them and making lots of noise. Then we rode the Monorail. After waiting for 40 min to ride, Hannah was quite fussy. We finally made a pitstop for some ice cream and milk for her of course. We also stopped by the children's zoo where Hannah got to splash her feet in the little river. She also pet some goats and fed the birds. We had such a sweet time with John and were so glad that he got the day off. Hopefully next time, it won't be so hot! Only 6 more days until Colorado!!! Here's some video from the giraffes and the bird feeding.
